Ruskin Street

A celebration and folly in all things ‘ Tiny ’.

We wanted this micro renovation to tip the hat to timber boat architecture.

Having grown up around lovely old heirloom timber boats, there’s something so homely and solid about them.  The plan for this building was to re-use the materials at a later date, as it was a ‘good for now’ renovation, until the bigger picture of a boutique hotel was realised for the premium Byron Bay location.  The clients loved the tiny so much, they didn’t want to part with it.

Some of our designs for the boutique hotel are also at the bottom of this link, hopefully we get to build them one day…or not!
